Falcuty of Finance and Banking, VNU organizes a seminar “GREEN FINANCE DEVELOPMENT – EXPERIENCE FROM GERMANY AND CURENT PRACTICES IN VIETNAM”
On December 17, 2019, Falcuty of Finance and Banking, VNU organizes a seminar with the theme “GREEN FINANCE DEVELOPMENT – EXPERIENCE FROM GERMANY AND CURENT PRACTICES IN VIETNAM” with the participants of experts, speakers, interested domestic and foreign organizations like Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Thi Thanh Tu, Dean of Faculty of Finance and Banking, VNU, Dr Nguyen Thi Hong Thuy, Dean of Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, VN, Mr Ivon Wolko and colleagues from SFPC, PhD Tran Binh Minh, Central Institute for Economic Management, …
Opening the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Thi Thanh Tu, currently Dean of Faculty of Finance and Banking, VNU gave the opening remarks.
Next Mr Ivon Wolko, representative of a group of experts from SFPC – titled “Savings bank foundation for international cooporation” with the contenr of Green Finance, Green credit and Green bank, have a deep impression on experts and lectures of UEB, VNU. In the sharing presentation, Mr. Ivon also integrated the situation of green finance and international experience of countries such as Bangladesh, Myanmar, Germany,… Besides, Mr. Ivon also introduced a financial model in Myanmar called Tha War Kar, also known as “Nature Protection”, opened for experts present at the seminar a new perspective on the financial situation of Southest Asia.
Next, Assoc. Prof. Dr Tran Thi Thanh Tu, dean of faculty of Finance and Banking, head of the state-level project: “Developing a green financial system to promote green economy in VietNam” shared some contents related to Green Banking models, Green investment – situation in VietNam and some recommendations,..
The seminar ended with mixed questions and oponions of a number of experts anf lectures from the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, Central Institute of Economic Management, aiming to promote green economic development in VietNam. The seminar brought a lot of usefull information, giving experts and speakers a new perpective on the Green Finance system for VietNam. Hopefully in the futeru there will be a copperation between VNU anf SFPC.
