Strategic Research of Faculty of Finance and Banking for the period of 2010 – 2020
1. Faculty of Finance and Banking (FFB) see scientific research as not only lecturers’ requirements and obligations but also a basis for raising its prestige in the science. Therefore, the strategic development of the scientific activities from 2010 to 2020 is constructed as two periods follow:
Aiming to the well-known university in researching Finance and Banking (2011 – 2015)
Objective 1: there are at least 02 articles or paper which are published in the domestically specialized newspaper and magazines
Objective 2: There is at least 01 research which is introduced and announced to readers in seminars annually
Objective 3: The researches which are derived from the reality, associated to management demands of enterprises, banks, political, or serving directly to teaching and training, especially postgraduate courses.
Objective 4: Develop the models of researching cooperation between Faculty and Policymakers, banks and enterprises.
Aiming to a consulting university in policies, enterprise and banking (2016-2020)
Objective 5: Each member of research group would be an intensive researcher in which he/she is examining to develop the consultant group which has a research project in international magazines or announcing their projects in international seminars.
Objective 6: To be a university in which the researchers, policy makers, managers and bankers can exchange academic knowledge and closer
2. The principal researching directions and researching groups:
Based on the basis of promoting the researching strength of lecturers and the main researching directions of the university, Faculty of Finance and Banking has developed the outstanding researching group contributing clearly to the researching direction of the Faculty. From that basis, to take full advantages of resources in Faculty and University, researching activities are associated to the development of consulting services for enterprises and banking.

3. Researching activities, topics and projects
The Faculty of Finance and Banking focus on exploring and exploiting the topics and projects which are financed by various sources: VNU-level, Provincial-level, State-level, and international-level projects. The scientific research activities of FFB are also supported by major domestic and international partners, such as: the Vietnam Deposit Insurance, Financial Supervision Commission National Military Joint Stock Commercial Bank, Bank for Foreign Trade, Industrial and Commercial Bank branch in Hanoi. Especially, the Faculty Research activities also include the active participation and enthusiasm, the quality of graduated students and students of the Faculty.
Faculty F&B has already hosted and participated in 02 state-level project, 10 projects of Ministry and the National University, more than 20 projects at grassroots level. In the year 2013-2014, Faculty F&B actively, proactively identify themes and external research projects funded by the National University as: theme "Building the value chain in Ninh Binh mushrooms" for Commission Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, collaborative research project "Construction Applications CGI index for Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank", complete documents the project "Capacity building of corporate governance for banks in Vietnam" for the World Bank. Expected in 2014, the Department will seek 01 provincial-level projects and 01 project / international projects.
4. Scientific research students
As a scientific strengths and scientific research traditional students, High quality students scientific research was originally formed, creating a foundation for students to participate in scientific research. Science also attracted attention, identify funding sources for student scientific research, scientific research fund current students of the Faculty F&B total value of 30 million by the Bank for financing Army.
Each year, students in scientific research activities have attracted dozens of studies of good quality. In the 3 years from 2011 to 2013, the Faculty F&B were awarded grade school students, particularly with students 2012-2013 Phung Duc Quyen QH2009-E-TCNH CLC class won the first prize and first prize NCKHSV VNU level scientific talent Young study titled "Assessment of stability of commercial banks in Vietnam".
