Security Investment Club (SIC) was the idea of ​​the managing board, the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Finance - Banking (FnB), University of Economics  and Business (UEB) - VNU with the desire to create a playground for students’ practical test while still being an University students.

The club will be a place for students of the University of Economics and Business in general can discuss together about financial investment opportunities, as well as applying the acquired knowledge into the practice. Taking part in the club not only gives the members a chance to understand more clearly what they have been learning but also help create certain advantages after they graduate and move to work.

The development of VNUInvest Fund not only creates the practical opportunities for all the members, but also enhances the picture for SIC.

Attending to the ceremony, on the behalf of University of Economics and Business, there were Assoc. Prof. Tran Thi Thanh Tu - Dean of Faculty of Finance and Banking, MA. Nguyen Tien Thanh – Lecturer and Fund Consultant, and lecturers and numerous students from other departments in the university. On the behalf of guests, there were Mr.  Nguyen Viet Hung – Director of Davincy Academy and Mr. Tran Huu Chung - Director of Trading Corporation MB Securities (MBS).

In the beginning, Assoc. Prof. Tran Thi Thanh Tu gave the thanks to special guests for their attendance and expressed pride in the success of the Investment Fund operated by the students under the advice of the faculty. Assoc. Prof. Tran Thi Thanh Tu also hoped MBS and Davincy Academy will become the largest shareholders accompany with the Securities Investment Club in the future.

After announcing the operation and dividend policy, the ceremony became lively with the exchange with invited guests. With practical experiences, the guests showed how to distinguish between fundamental analysis and technical analysis, how to seize the investment opportunities on the stock market. The conversation with guests attracted large number of students involved and partly raising the confidence and skills for students when making the investment decision in the future.

Although the Investment Funnd VNUInvest is still relatively young, with potential ability and tremendous support from the Executive Committee of Faculty FnB, Security Club promises to give students a general useful, highly realistic Economics playground.

Shareholders Meeting and Security Club Ceremony have taken place successfully, opening a great expectation to shareholders in a flourishes investment period. Currently, the club is in the time to recruit new high-quality human resources with the goal of expanding and improving the quality of operation.
